RICHARD RAYNER

Richard Rayner has spent his career Performing, Composing, and Producing music with an understanding of a wide range of different genres and musical approaches. As a session musician his work stretches from Classical and World Percussion to Rock, Pop and everything in between.

ALL ABOUT RICHARD RAYNER

A drummer and percussionist with a foundation in classical, rock, jazz, and world percussion, Richard has worked with a wide variety of orchestras, ensembles, and bands. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under renowned educators such as Rob Farrer, Paul Francis, Ralph Salmins, and David Corkhill. Richard was a finalist in the BBC's Young Musician of the Year competition and won Young Drummer of the Year in 2009 run by Mike Dolbear. Following his studies at Guildhall, Richard has been touring worldwide with piano sensation Maksim Mrvica and rock band Franko.

Richard is the drummer for unpeople, whose self-titled EP received critical acclaim, and were nominated for Best UK Breakthrough Artist at the Heavy Music Awards. The band has gained traction on BBC Radio 1 and enjoyed a lively festival season, highlighted by opening for Metallica at Racino Rocks in Vienna.
